  • Windows Server with Active Directory Domain Services installed.

  • Administrative access to the domain controller.

Steps to Deploy Printers

  1. Open the Print Management Console:
    • Click on the Start menu, type “Print Management,” and hit Enter.
  2. Add Printers:
    • In the Print Management Console, right-click on the “Printers” node and select “Add Printer.”
    • Follow the wizard to add your printers.
  3. Create a new Group Policy Object:
    • Open the Group Policy Management Console (GPMC).
    • Right-click on the organizational unit (OU) where you want to deploy the printers and select “Create a GPO in this domain, and Link it here.”
    • Name the GPO and click “OK.”
  4. Configure the GPO for Printer Deployment:
    • Right-click the newly created GPO and select “Edit.”
    • Navigate to User Configuration > Preferences > Control Panel Settings > Printers.
    • Right-click on “Printers,” select “New,” then “Shared Printer.”
    • Define the printer path (e.g., \\server\printername) and configure additional settings as needed.
  5. Apply the GPO:
